However the price of lamb has gone up where Steve lives. It's £15 an
    hour now apparently.

Indeed. People don't move to LD3 because of the high value of property.
One of them is a knock off VAG which his boss bought him.

Quite probably. MK is as much of a shithole that nobody wants to live
    in as Powys.

Not really and I get to keep more of it.

  6. Can earn much better money doing other stuff.

  7. Both these guys, while having HGV licences, also have much, *much*

    Like what?

    NOT driving a lorry.

  9. I don't think "non lorry driver" is actually a job Brim.

Even if it's not the world's best job, most people would agree that it's
better than poncing state benefits because a person can't be bothered to
work and expects everybody else to keep him Brim.

    Best wishes all,

It isn't, but any job is better than driving a lorry.
Quite true, it's just a shame that so many people disagree with us.

  12. But how do you know? And how do you define "better"?

Yeahbut you don't work in an industry where problems can cost millions.

Only if you're a pedantic prick. I suppose it's my fault for not
putting in "active HGV licence" assuming you had more intelligence than
    you do.

Because I've driven motor vehicles for a living.
That's for the individual to decide.

  16. And all driving jobs are the same?

What happens at the beginning and end of a trip differ from one type of job
and another, the part in between is pretty much the same, you're operating a
motor vehicle and that's the majority of the time.

    Brimstone, Jun 23, 2007

  19. And you dislike operating a motor vehicle? Have you ever considered that you
may be subscribed to the wrong newsgroup?
