love 'em all

  1. I've been riding the Mighty Scooter the last 10 days or so. To work
and on any errands that need a powered two wheeler.

I figured I had best give the Norge a run to charge the battery and
keep the bike in good fettle.

It's sorta obvious when you say it that a 1200cc fairinged long
distance mile muncher in a highish price bracket is going to be
different to an older 2 stroke scooter with pretty average suspension
    and weighing half as much.

    But oh... the comfort!

The Scooter tends to leap from bump to bump. Every crack and hole and
bump in what NSW calls "roads" is very noticeable. *bang* *thump* and
    sometimes *skitter*.

The Norge lets me know in a polite offhand manner "oh the surface is a
bit average but never mind, I won't let it bother you".

The scooter does everything noisily and quickly, the Norge is more
    deliberate and alot quieter.

I still prefer the Mighty Scooter for commuting, but for weekend
riding the big fella's definitely the choice. I'm on the MCC stand at
the motorcycle show this coming weekend but after that I should get
out on the road and rack up some miles.

Anyone want to go to the motorcycle museum at Nabiac?

A very wimpy single shock on one side and trick looking but not very
effective upside down forks aren't helping.

It's a lot better now the hinge in the middle's gone though!

It's a lot of fun to ride, but it's not a plush Gentleman's Express.
More of a Juvenile Delinquent's Getaway Vehicle.

    Yours doesn't talk to you?

You poor lad. It's probably bad mouthing you to every bike it meets
"He's so bloody deaf. I mean really you can't get through to him
short of a major tank slapper or blowing a valve"

No, Sunday morning. 10am to 2 shift although I might be there Sat as
    well depending on volunteer level.

Anyone want a free pass to the show in return for spending most of the time
    at the MCC stand?
