How come a couple of weeks ago I was able to dissassemble the 20-year-old R80 exhaust system in about 10 minutes using the tools in the tool kit, but last night I spend 3 hours trying to do similar on the 6-year-old bumblebus? Now got the Remus mid-pipe on the bike but the origingal mid box (cat) refuses to be split from the end can. I would cut the clamp off, but that's integral with the heat shield/trim which no doubt means it's bloody expensive to replace. Bollocks. So, assuming I give in and start attacking it with power tools, is the Akrapovic end can worth the extra over the Remus?
