Yeah, I'd like to hear about that as well. Veterans are allegedly _less_
likely to require these services. Just ask any veteran that has been trying
to get the support mentioned above, they'll die trying.

3-4km is bugger all. He can do that in his suit on a $100 snd hand
mountain bike where the lock costs more than the bike does!

Else he leaves the jacket and trousers at work, and takes shirts one
day a week, cycles in all weathers in a tracksuit.

It's doable, just depends on the tipping point between hassles and
    money.

I'd be interested to know how many are owner occupiers and how many
    are investors.

The bods who bought into the "get rich in real estate" hype and
overstretched themselves buying an expensive unit in the Meriton Slums
might well find that because the thing is now worth a lot less than
they paid for it (and was probably worth less even when they bought
it, lots of lying about prices was happening) that they still have
megabucks of mortgage to pay off Right Now when they sell the thing,
and bang goes the house they live in.

Those on low doc loans who would never have got a loan in the old days
are probably on the list too.

Natural gas is largely Methane, with varying levels of water vapour,
etc. At the gas plant they remove most of the water vapour and
non-burnable components, and either pump it down a pipeline or liquefy
it (extremely high pressure) and put it aboard a tanker ship for
    export.

LPG is a blend of Propane (~75%) and Butane (~25%), probably with small
amounts of various other "-anes" in there as well (after all, it's not
particulay essential to have it 100% pure). It liquefies at much lower
pressure, which is why LPG tanks don't need to have walls half an inch
thick. It's usually produced as a crude oil refinery byproduct, but
the Propane and Butane are also minor components of Natural Gas.

Did you miss the announcement some months ago that the proceeds of the
Telstra sale was going to prop up the Public Servants Super Fund? Seems that
    money has 'gone' somewhere.

I work in the city but live in a much smaller rural community than you. If
Albury/Wodonga was in WA, it would be the second largest city.

Mortgagee auctions are a measure of people's inability to repay a debt,
which they were able to repay at the point in time when they purchased a
property. Exactly what relationship is there between soaring property
prices and the volume or frequency of mortgagee auctions? Income and
interest rates may change but the property purchase price is the one
    static in the equation.

And that is the precise reason why we are so dependant on oil, because
you can't even imagine alternatives. I'll be disappointed if I never
get to see a nuclear powered MotoGP series. They'd be great viewing,
especially for people who just go to see the crashes.

How are they making it less attractive? ..and do you think that getting
a bike license before a car one is a good idea in this day and age of
    increasing congestion on the roads?

Most of the gas exports from Australia are shipped from the north west
shelf because it is not economical to ship them to the eastern states.

My mob specifically excludes them too.
I got real grumpy with their "any new motor vehicle" line when they really
    only mean "any motorCAR".
I've never wanted to drive enough Ks in a year to make it cost-effective
    anyway....
