There's only a problem if the tshirt is tucked into the jeans. If I have a customer meeting, I generally opt for a suit with no tie. Never seems to go down badly, a good safe bet, and saves all that "what *is* business casual anyway?" nonsense. The rest of the time I work in jeans & trainers (or similar).
