Hey you remember when I was was posting about us getting the race scoots to
break into the 13 second bracket and blathering about how hard it is to get
a twist`n go to get anywhere near that!

Well here`s an update UKRM (and I`m not apoligising for sounding smug or
    pissed :)

Red Dwarf has now broken the UK record for the quarter mile on a twist`n go
scooter. (class 1 without m/cycle parts like pistons or nos)

Timing from Santa Pod; as follows (remember folks we built this heap from
scratch out of plumbing parts and transit vans) :)

    60ft @ 1.927 seconds
    330ft @ 5.199 seconds
    1/8th mile @ 8.055 and 84.60 mph
    1000ft @ 10.55 seconds
    1/4 mile @ 12.887 and 98.26 mph.

    Not bad from a homebrew.

Who`s going to sell me their ` Busa to work on :))))))))

Sure it wasn't 64 ft? That is the usual distance on hill climbs. If so,
under 2 seconds is truly amazing - pulling a 'G' acceleration that is.
I have managed it only once on the Nordie. Even if it was only 60 ft it
still shows how efficient a twist 'n go is at the first launch. Little
likelihoood of wheel spin or a big wheelie I suppose. Brilliant job.

Indeed. I'll bet there was 'much celebration'. Well earned I'd say too.
