Madaz vs Megacycle Exhausts

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Richard Lindner, Jul 23, 2005.

  1. I'm looking for an aftermarket muffler to my Honda NT650 V-twin (aka
Hawk GT or Bros). Noone makes an off-the-shelf for this bike, so I'm
looking at the custom guys and am considering either a Madaz or a
Megacycle. Both are about the same price although I do prefer the
quality of finish of the Madaz. But appearances aside, has anyone got
any opinions regarding either of these? Any good/bad experiences with
    either?

Madaz did a very nice can for a mates Transalp, which is practically
    the same engine.

  3. Cheers - thanks for the comment Sharks. Saw a couple of Madaz's this
arvo at Promoto on a Transalp and a Revere - Dave there reckoned they
were pretty good too. And he'd also recently fitted one to a customers
Hawk GT - said it did the job and a bit! Looks like unless anybody else
says something to scare me off, then the Madaz may be the go.

I've got a megacycle exhaust on my ZX9. I bought it because it was made
locally, as Madaz is, and because it was reasonably priced. I don't think
it's build quality is as good as a Yoshi, I haven't seen a Madaz pipe, but
if you are after a LOUD pipe then Megacycle is the way to go. The howling
noise that comes out of my bike a 10 grand is unreal.

  5. Ive had MADAZ pipes on my ZZR1200 and now on my VTR1000F. They are
fantastic - good build quality too.

    Professional service as well.

    Highly recommended.
