Am I just looking in all the wrong places, or is it impossible to get a
small clock (just basic tell the time, not laptimer) that's magnetic, so it
will stick to the tank, or the middle of the handlebars? They all seem to
either use velcro, or some slot thing that is usually glued on.

I used to use one of the cheap things that are made for in car use,
one with a display that was big enough to be easy to read at a quick
glance, I glued a powerful[1] magnet to the back of it. I just had to
remember to stuff it in my pocket if it rained.

Usually a good bet, especially if you have a shop near.

Don't know unless you tell us where you are looking. Behind the sofa?
In Fortnum and Mason? Under the swings in the park?
    I neither know nor care.
Why do you need this device? Calculate how far you are going. Leave in
good time. Get there. Look at watch.
