If ever there was a wild card with local knowledge, it's Gimbert. With
the Bol D'Or held there, he must have done thousands of race laps.

But isn't it good to see a Yamaha back up at the sharp end in WSB? And
it shows that with a season of endurance behind them at least someone in
Europe knows how to build an SB race bike out of the new R1. Which
augurs well for the next WSB season, assuming Moto Italia do race with
    some good riders on board.

  3. So back from my ever WSK event just to congratulate Toseland who was the
strongest this week-end. Our dumby Laconi didn't really loose it yesterday
but made too much errors during the season to get this championship.
Gimbert 2 times fourth just underlines how poor is the field because his
bike is far to be a factory Yam, just a well prepared R1, 15kg above the
limit and Gimbert is not Haga. Really too much mechanical DNF in these 2
    races.
