I see you pulled a Sweller with the measuring cup. I'm told that a crafty
fix for this is to drill a little hole in the side of the cup, near where
it's attached to the filler cap, which can be covered with a thumb whilst
measuring out the oil, but which lets the air escape when being refitted to
the tank. I've no direct experience of this myself, mind.

    .....and I keep doing it.

The Trophy doesn't have a measuring cup so it's never a problem and I
forget about the cup when I use a TS. Not that I brim an MZ tank that
    often.

Well, the guy that told me about it owns several MZs, and a seriously
scruffy Cossack/Dnepr hybrid with a right-hand chair. Judge for yourself.

Spooky - that was the very thing I planned on doing.

Great minds think alike . . . . . or is it fools seldom differ ;-)

You mentioned the thing 'hunting' on the over-run: this is a common MZ
trait. AIUI, you can turn down the tickover so it doesn't hunt, but
then it won't tick over. Or you can have a nice tickover and hunting.

*Or* you can call those nice people at Burwins in London for one of
their modified (drilled-out) pilot jets which gives you both (er, that
is, a nice tickover and no hunting) for about a fiver.

Do I detect a hint of surprise in your reply ? ;-)
