    Hi all,
I have just joined the group after picking up a 1983 GN250 that needs a
bit of TLC. I have spent a lot of time searching the archive and
googling around and It seems really hard to find a workshop manual for
the GN. (A search of this group for "GN250" gets heaps of results, with
what seems like half of them asking for a manual, but no answers as far
    as I can see.)

Someone mentioned a generic type manual. Can anyone recommend a good
all round "Maintenance and Repair" book that could help me out?
General stuff, not model specific. Like, I can feel wear on the front
brake's disc, but I don't know how much wear is acceptable, that sort
    of thing.

Of course if somebody has a Suzuki GN250 manual they can point me to I
would be more than happy :)

It's been a while since I've messed about with bikes, and I am hoping
to lift my game. I have always felt guilty for leaving a Vellocette
Valliant in bits in my Dad's shed more than a few years ago.

    Best regards
    Bill.

    hi bill,

hammers shouldn't need manuals. I don't know what's wrong with your
generation, seems like they need everything laid out for them or "its
    too hard"

I'll tell you mate, there's nothing wrong with my generation that a
good grease and oil change wouldn't fix up.

As for the rest of you guys, thank's for the gratuitous humour. You'r
    all heroes.

    Regards
Bill. (one time Vincent Comet rider)
