  2. That's vengeful. Revenge is not a rational motive.
    That's not an argument.

That's the kind of society you actually want to live in?
    I don't beieve that.

Why are you so blind that you see rehabilitation as
Love is the answer to everything.
That's fine until she cries rape on YOU.

While there's life ther's hope. I guess you know the story of Hurricane.
    I don't believe that.
    Neither does the death penalty.

The answers aren't easy. That doesn't justify jumping to the easy answer
to satisfy people's lust for revenge.

In the USA a death sentence costs more in legal and other costs than a life
sentence. Probably not true in Indonesia but they care less about guilt and
    innocence.

Bastard! When I retire or get put out to pasture I'm going to have to become
a purse snatcher. How much is a really fast walking frame these days?

OK, OK, I give up. WTF is hammer? I assume it has nothing to do with my
ccollection of hammers in the shed.

Is their any doubt about the guilt of the Bali 9?

  8. Yes. There is evidence some of them were forced to carry under the
threat of harm to themselves or their families.

That has nothing to do with Guilt, it may be an extenuating circumstances in
sentencing but it does nothing to alter the fact that they were guilty of
carrying the drugs. Clearly they could have approached the Police prior to
being picked up and surrendered and told their story.

Easy for you to say from your armchair.
You think the threats made would not have covered such a possibility?

Not in your mind. Do you think a life sentence is fair, a death sentence is
fair. Please feel free to use multisyllabic words in your response.

I think the sentence is way over the top, and an Oz court would have come to
    a different sentence.

I am not in an armchair, threats mean nothing, these clowns took a "Free
Trip" and looking at the background of some of them would have known what
was going on. These threats are nothing more than a weak excuse thought up
after they were caught. The more criminals caught overseas and imprisoned
    the better in my view.

A life sentence is what the court imposed and is a common sentence for these
crimes in Bali, my opinion is irrelevant. If you want to be judged by an
Australian Court perhaps you should not commit crimes overseas.

  14. Until it's in you in some rat infested Asian prison for something you
didn't do or were forced to do.

Thank God you're not in charge of the prison system.

Forced to do? you keep sprouting this crap, they did the crime, they now do
the time. You want a nice clean prison with Air Conditioning and Colour TV's
stay in Australia. If I was in charge of the prison system I would
sub-contract the care and rehabilitation of drug dealers out to a rat
infested Asian prisons. victims of drug dealers are not given the sort of
care you are suggesting for these convicted criminals.
