Man jailed over fatal road smash

  1. Much stronger than Australia, which is supposed to support it but lets
its police hand information to Indonesia, allowing Australia's citizens
    to be subject to it.

Doesn't matter what they've done; if we really opposed the death penalty
we would never have allowed this to happen.

That is exactly the point. A country that is _against_ the death
penalty, instead of just 'not having one on the books' would do whatever
it took to protect thier citizens from it.

  4. If they can get it free then they won't need to be violent.
Free? LOL! You on some tonight ;)~

With the trillions available to the Government you think it will be
    FREE?

Im not. I just can only think of one thing more stupid than legalizing
    hammer.

  5. Sounds a lot like "let's have a lot more laws, it's the only way to control the anarchy.
Ok, let all the mass murders, rapists, and thieves out of jail,, cause
the only reason they are in jail is cause they can hurt me. Lets let
them out so it can become a reality. Is that what you mean? Nobody
    deserves jail time?
    Sound good?
LOL.. I didnt realise your a heavy heroin user. No wonder you want it
    legalised.
See what happens when you evade the real world? Little old ladies get
killed for $2.00 - or in your fantasy world , this doesnt and would
    never happen?

  6. How many grannies were clubbed to death by heroin users last week Biggus, or even last year ?
    Isnt 1 too many?
How many last year, without having pure facts, I would say in the
dozens. and having some young het up scum beating on them is just
fucked, you may think its fine, but I dont.
**** I hate fights when its more than 1 bloke on 1 bloke...

Remember the helpless old lady having her hand bag ripped off her arm
and kicked while she was down, she died. The poor little buttercup
that did it, claimed he was a drug user and had a bad childhood. Isnt
that a shame. The court felt sorry for him, and gave him a lesser
sentence due to those facts plus the fact "he didnt mean it"..
THE **** DID IT MEANT IT OR NOT BAD LUCK.

If you have a bad childhood, you can do anything illegal and have an
    excuse.
Do you realise that most junkies are unemployable as they are a fuckin
    waste of space?
The small suburb in the shire I was from had way more than our fair
    share of junkies...
One hammer dealer (plenty in cronulla), but probably ~30 junkies that
I knew of in a town of a few thousand. Fairly high % compared to most
    decent suburbs.

Not one of them was employable. Friends tried hiring them to get them
out of their rut, but in the end, were always shit on by the junkies
    stealing tools and hocking them.

We had one junkie steal my neighbours Video player while he was at
work. Then that night, called neighbour back and said that he had heard
that neighbours Video was stolen (neighbour hadnt noticed yet!), and
that he had one forsale. Problem was the tape was still in the
player... The Egg said come round, and bring the player with you, Im
interested. You can guess the rest. Few years ago, Tails the dude that
stole it OD'ed on hammer. Back in early 90s he tried holding up a shop
with a spud gun - potato in the other hand and all.

The one dealer that was in the suburb also OD'ed few yrs before that.
4 mates that I know of, have Hep, and 3 others are dead from ODing.
Most others are just brain dead.

Spoke to one of them one day, the next day he didnt even remember
    talking to me.

Yep, legalise it, its not dangerous, it doesnt harm people. Its better
than Vitamins. Shit its that good, lets put it in kids tuckshops.
Sorry, I'll turn into a sheep and just follow what you think to please
    you.

You think all junkies have brains and are on 100k a year?

That they would be reliable enough to entertain the thought of having
a job, being reliable enough to get out of gutter in the morning to go
    to work?

Oops they now dont have a job, they need lots of cash to sustain
their addiction.. Where can we get it from? Work history is fucked,
    dole doesnt pay enough...

Hmmmmmm Its pension day.. lets wait in main street of
Caringbah/Cronulla for them to cash their cheques.

There is no way you could ever convince me that legalising
Hammer/Crack/Coke would be a smart thing to do..

It fuckin kills people, pure or cut with Mustard or horseshit..

    YMMV.

  10. LOL!! you really are blind.

You thin our system now is Effective? In anyway? Deterring crims, or
    rehabilitating them?

Jail and rehab does not work on numerous amounts of crims. Prime
example the dude that bashed the cop in WA after killing them 2 chicks
    in Melbourne few weeks ago!

He was rehabilitated.. Numerous times. That worked.

Search the net, theres 100's of other "REHABILITATED" people who have
    reoffended.

Barbaric it may seem to you, but a poll on one of the news sites few
mths back showed the trend against it has dropped over the last 5
years - so there is hope that one day it will come back

I wish our legal system had some balls to take on crime instead of
    just licking its arse.

    So there goes that theory.

  12. Unlike alcohol and tobacco pure heroin has no deleterious effects other than a tendency to make you constipated.
    ROTFLMAO!

  13. Anger doesn't work, mate, it's irrational. Sorry to have to point that
    out but it's true.
But it would stop grannies getting beat up because it would give junkies
access to what they need without resorting to crime.

And its being illegal only makes that problem so much worse. There's no
regulation so the dealers get away with cutting it, whereas government
issue would be clean and much safer.

Emotion only clouds the issue and makes it impossible to see what must
be done to get it right when solving problems.

Otherwise we'd be back to flogging and it could be your back that's
bloody instead of a fine for speeding.

    See what I mean?

It's a simple $ equation, the amount of money that we spend enforcing it
is more than it would cost to put it on the subsided medicare benifits list.

Doing this would _save_ the government money, not cost them money.
Close enough to free as to make no difference.
If it saves money, and saves lives then tell us why it's silly?

Free (or as close to as makes no difference) for them, the cost would be
made up by the savings no longer needed in enforcement, and in the
    reduction in organised crime.

  17. No mate it's anger that gets in the way of vision. Punishment is not an
effective deterrent. You only have to look at the societies that have
the harshest punishments to see they still have crime.

Australians of all people should know, since we we shipped over here by
the boatload for stealing bread and such.

No, it's not perfect and has a long way to go to get away from
    punishment and towards rehabilitation.
No, you're right, the prison the system makes most of them worse. We
    have to find better ways.
You better hope not, or it could be you facing it, as an innocent
    wrongly accused.

We need to look more closely at the causes and address them much more
intelligently, as well as putting a lot more thought into rehab for
offenders. Just locking them up isn't working, you're right about that.

He's right you know... the bad effects we see in H addicts are mostly a
result of the substances that it is often cut with and the lack or money
for normal nutrition and medical care.

So that'd be a wild arsed guess based on your preconceptions then ?

Wrong. There are many heroin addicts that hold down full time jobs. You
need to inform yourself by some means outside of Today Tonight and Alan
    Jones
Your origins seem to say a bit about you. You're certainly confirming
    the stereotypes anyway
    Actually,no it doesn't empirical fact.
