After all Eddie's experiences with an Aprilia, you decide that's what
    you want.

Have you been breathing in the fumes from the Hammerite factory?

Well when your vehicle choice is between a needlessly over-complicated
French car, a high performance, hand built Italian car or an Italian
motorbike you're probably lucky if any 2 out of the 3 are working at any one
    time.

    Thank god I've got a push-bike.

And to you also. Are you still what you are or have you gone back to being
    what you used to be?

Sorry, but I fear you're too late ... even if I wasn't reduced to tears by
the ugliness and mundanity of the Binnedit, my mind is made up.

That sounds terribly dull ... you shouldn't be afraid to try a change once
    in a while.

Or were you making a clever religious joke? In which case, well batted my
    good lady.

    Come on, newbie, snip sigs!

Good on you. I agree it is gorgeous and that is as good a reason as
anyone needs to justify a particular new bike.

Just hold on there a moment!

To which "experiences" are you referring? The broken chain, resulting in
clutch slave getting ripped off, damaging clutch push rod, etc., etc.?

Mea culpa: it was all my fault for thinking I could get an extra 1000
miles out of a chain, instead of changing it when I knew I should have done.

In fact, I'd already decided that once finances allow[0] I'd be getting
shot of the 9R, and replacing it with something very similar to what
AndrewR is about to purchase, only with more black bits.

[0] That is, once Mrs Eddie has a decent bike.

Well... I'm not sure that finances would stretch that far. Although it
is tempting... and the gold wheels look better than that bright red
colour... and it's *much* more black... it would match my new lid
better, which is the most important thing.

what black bits were you talking about then?

and, um, the wheels on the factory are blue.

Although, thinking about it, is he getting last year's model?

It certainly isn't Ducati. It's a damn-sight better looking, for starters.
