Mark Heckles, whose most famous result is probably that 6th in race
1 of the rain drenched 2002 Silverstone WSB round, is making
good progress recovering from serious injuries sustained in
that pile-up at the 2004 Brands BSB round.

Last Saturday, at Aintree, Mark finished third, on the Riverside
R1, in the strongly contested 1300cc open four-stroke class.
    Good luck to him.

Also of note (to me at least) was a jewel of a TZ750, resplendent
in Yamaha America Colours, crushing the oppostion in
the "Forgotten Era" class. How small it looked against the modern
    oppostion - R1s, GSX-Rs and the like.

The next Aintree club round, is on June 11th.

    Dn.
