Mate in hospital again

Remember my post about a programmer who tripped in a car park and shattered
his elbow.

Yesterday he sets off on the hired CG125 (his CG is still being repaired
from when my next door neighbour knocked it over in the car park), going to
collect his brand spanking new SV650, after just passing his direct access.
I gave him the usual warnings about new bike, new tyres, but he'd already
seen the youtube vids. Anyway, none of that mattered as van man knocked him
off the CG. Broken thumb, broken ankle and a bruised back.

I have offered to look after his new bike while he mends ;o)

 

Apparently he was hit side on by the van. Witeness says the van didn't stop
at the junction, just pulled out and knocked him across the road into a lamp
post. Police are charging van driver for driving without due care.

 

Sure is the season for it.
