It's a lovely place. Well, the northern end I visited is. If you are north
of Split then go to the Plitvik National Park: it's a UNESCO World Heritage
Site and just a delightful place to spend a day. If you are down near
Dubrovnik then it's probably too far for a day trip.

    It's probably just the oil-pressure switch. :)
You can imagine all sorts of new engine noises when they fail.

What trick do you use to stop those fucking pingfuckit fucking spacers
dropping out all the time in the rear wheel?

Removing it took about 1'30". Putting it back in took about 10 minutes of
    silent cursing.

Grease, that holds them in nicely if you have decent bearing seals. 1'
30" is slow, old man. I'd have he old one out and a new wheel in there
in that time, and be lowering the bike from the stand.

In my defense that did include finding the right socket and a pair of pliers
to remove the split pin, and I do it once every year.

A friend fo mine said to use a little bit of blu-tack which I won't be
trying, I've seen old dried out blu-tack, turns to dust.

    I'll try grease next time.

And putting a 180 section tyre on the 10R has made it hugely entertaining in
    the twisties :)

And I did. Well, some of it on Satuday, and the rest on Sunday. Took
most of the day, but at the end of it I had a running bike, so I went
out and did 3 laps. Well, it is Mad Sunday, after all! The roads
were deserted - it was like an evening practice session.

Yeah, I'd love to go again.

Next year will be 25 years since I last went - that's got to be worth
    commemorating by going again!

I might be persuaded to DFV something. it's the centenary of the
mountain course, and Keith's 50th birthday.

Someone remind me in the autumn.

The idea was mooted today of leaving the security deposit with the
Scouts to secure next year. I'll certainly be up for coming again.

I must confess to a major twitch in that direction, too. On my own
behest and bike this time, though, I hope.

I can see that. But even so, getting a spare engine shipped over is a
    tad extreme IMO!

And surely there was the option of whacking Bonwick over ther head and
    nicking his )
Bit of a bugger to have missed a day's racing yesterday though, eh?
