I saw the Fulham and Chelsea Harley Owners Group Mobile Chicane Unit heading west on the A40 today. All very clean and shiny.
Yesterday just after the Moto GP there seemed to be a fair selection , some of which were managing to be slower than my girlfriend's 1.2 litre punto. Far fewer this afternoon , though plenty of bikes out and about. -- Alex "I laugh in the face of danger. Then I hide until it goes away" www.drzoidberg.co.uk www.ebayfaq.co.uk
Apart from mine, had to finish building the shed ffs. Tons of bikes going mad on here. -- 'I'll be back......' Nige Subaru WRX (54) Land Rover Discovery II BMW GS1200 2007 2000 Suzuki GSX1300R Y Hayabusa
I was out and about for a couple of hours this afternoon , damn good fun :0) -- Alex "I laugh in the face of danger. Then I hide until it goes away" www.drzoidberg.co.uk www.ebayfaq.co.uk
They are not the only kid out there either. On the way home along the M25 we were crawling so that everyone could gawp at the over-turned HGV on the other side. Cuntybollox decides to stop in lane 3 and get his camera out.
Here in .de, the season opened last weekend, when all the march-onward seasonal plates[1] started to be legal on the road again. First weekend of March with glorious weather pulled a lot of riders out on the roada. Somewhat sadly and predictably, some stayed there [2]. Johannes Gerber [1] You can specify that plates, and therefore road tax etc. run between specified months. A significant number of people have bikes road legal only from march onwards. These are know as "Saison-Schwuchteln" or seasonal gays. [2] Including, unfortunately, our production manager. Who, for reasons unknown, with the police still trying to figure it out(or not telling us), wrapped his Harley around an invonveniently placed tree. Died in hospital, funeral tomorrow. Yeah, I know, it's only a prodcution manager, but he was a reasonable bloke who knew what he was doing, has been riding for the last 30 years, leaves a girlfriend and two daughters. Sucks, that. Work is organising coaches to take people to the funeral, which is decent of them.
Heh. I do wish that people wouldn't wheel their bikes out at the moment though. I'm slogging away, running on familiar roads and see bike after fucking bike going past. I keep thinking "surely that's a better idea than running". Still two weeks today and I can look forward to putting my feet up for a couple of weeks. That's almost enough to cause me to use a smiley. My legs ache and my perineum's bloody sore[1]... it got severely 'rubbed' by a seam during today's run. [1] Sorry if this is TMI.
I haven't been following too closely, are you doing a Cane[1] here or is this just for fun? [1] charity.
That'd be me then. I'm glad I don't have to ride a bike to work in the winter because if I did I'd be so fucking cool I'd be an iceberg.
Yeah, we're so great. I'm out on the MZ Trophy toasting everyone. 'cos I'm a UKRM'er and a fucking biking God.
Yep. Several of them round Epping appear to have forgotten all but the very rudiments of biking in the off season. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) Alfa 116 Giulietta 3.0l (Really) Sprint 1.7 75 TS 156 TS S2 Suzuki Bandit 600 #Triumph Speed Triple: Black with extra black bits (I live in hope) www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk

I suspect from what I've heard, and IIRC seen of your riding, you don't fit the stereotype. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) Alfa 116 Giulietta 3.0l (Really) Sprint 1.7 75 TS 156 TS S2 Suzuki Bandit 600 #Triumph Speed Triple: Black with extra black bits (I live in hope) www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk
It was about 3.45 when I went past there and it looked about half full which is pretty good for that time of day once it had started to cloud over. It won't be long till the bike evening starts up near Worfield again I suppose. That's a nice night to be somewhere else as the trafpol patrol the nearby roads. :0) -- Alex "I laugh in the face of danger. Then I hide until it goes away" www.drzoidberg.co.uk www.ebayfaq.co.uk
I rode to a TT marshals course (1) (2) today with a nylon jacket, Levi jeans and trainers as my PPE. I also popped a nice little wheelie going over Bedford Town bridge just because I could. This fits the stereotype perfectly. (1) About 2 miles from home. (2) Just to stop MCN bitching about inadequate training of marshals.
