The bike was an Armstrong, with what looked like an electric fan munged to
the side of the cylinder. I wonder if Armstrongs run hot when they're stuck
    in traffic.

My Ducati came from Baines Racing at Silverstone.

Adie bought her Triumph from On Yer Triumph and decided they were
    tossers.
Just buy the bike from them and have it serviced wherever you want to.

It's a good deal they're offering with the Akrapovics and 0% finance
but I'd be wondering what it's doing to the re-sale price of that
model. It doesn't really matter unless you paid full list price and
then went and sorted your own exhaust system afterwards.

I quite like the idea of an Aprillia Tuorno but the factory version
with all the extra toys. At least Aprillia have the engine as it
should be rather than following Triumph and strangling it when fitting
    it in a naked bike.

That won't be this year and it'll be an addition to the 10R because I
think the C1/2 versions will be in demand because of Kawasaki
softening the bike over the years.

I guess not. I've had a good long sit on one so I'm happy with the
    riding position.

And as far as how it rides goes, I'm just assuming it'll be like the
    GSXR but a bit faster.

    Thanks for offering though.

I'll say that I'm not paying list price.

    Yes. That's what I'm having.
Aye, that's what's swung it for me to order it before the end of
    March.

They make the bike look a hell of a lot better (dealer had one with
them already on in the workshop) and with the baffles out they sound
amazing. Stick the baffles back in, and they're road-legal.

Their pricing isn't very consistent. The yellow number say £7699 and
it says £7799 in the text.

Do you know if they're 06 or 07 bikes? Not that there's any
    difference mechanically.

From riding Andy's last year I'd say that's not too far out overall,
but it does feel quite different in some ways. Specifically, the
gixxer's front end feels a bit more planted than the Kwak, which has a
slightly higher tendency to lift at certain points where the power
delivery is slightly more peakey than the gixxer. You're also seated
more on top than the gixxer, which for me meant I was less protected
    from the wind.

For me, I didn't see anything that made me want to switch, and it was
slightly less comfortable, but yes, I'd say that, notwithstanding
riding position, if you were happy with a gixxer thou, you'd be happy
    with a 10R.

The 07 model has the weight slightly further forward than Andy and
Champ's 04/05 model, engine is further forward and a bit higher up.

It'll be getting a double bubble screen as well because the standard
one chopped off the top of the rev counter for me.

Anyway, I'll find out on Saturday.

Didn't see any in the gloriously sunny lanes of Beds and Northants
yesterday. Cordura is definitely last season now, leather is in
again. Oh, and the Summer throttle position has been rediscovered.

Talking of colour co-ordination I just came across this shot I took at
Charade last year. The epitome of taste - Helmet, gloves - breather
    catch-tank.

Colour co-ordination? FFS. Matches the streak up the rider's back,
    eh?
