Thanks to the driver of the S2000 who feels that right hand turns at
roundabouts should be made from the left hand approach lane [1]

    Damage to bike, so far
    1) Clutch lever
    2) Gear lever
    3) Rad cap and spigot
    4) FNS indicator
    5) Dunno it's dark out there

    Damage to me
    1) Minor brusing. This Hein Gericke stuff rocks
    2) Trashed Uvex. Still I'm getting a new visor....

    [1] I know. I *nearly* missed him :(

    Bugger.

Happened to me a few years ago when I was on the CG125 [1] - merkin
tourist in a hire car. I had a couple of bruised ribs, and a bruised
shoulder - bike was kicked back into shape and ridden home.

Hire car had a bit of a dent and scratch on it.

Amusing. He reckons he was OK to make that maneuver. I'm pretty sure
the Highway code won't agree but ISTBC
    Seconded.

I am pretty sure it is SOP to be aware that larger vehicles often need
to use the left-hand wide approach into a roundabout to be able to get
    round.

  10. Bugger. Heal well. I got caught out on one of my first trips to
the UK on this huge roundabout between Loughborough and Donington Park.
In Oz you _must_ turn left from the left lane at a roundybout -- you have
to cross an unbroken lane marking if you don't -- so I was chucking it
into the second lane of this exit from the second lane of the r-y-b when I
realised that the oVvlo in the left lane was continuing straight ahead as
I passed his nearside front at 80 mph... Much heavy braking and tyre
smoke later I managed just to nip behind him and not over-run the exit.

    you shouldn't be an arse.

Where you in the lh or rh lane ? Did he swerve left to knock you or turn
right to cut you off at the pass ?

Yep, I'd agree. Except I'd never considered a Honda S2000 to be a
    'larger' vehicle.

    Commiserations and GWS.

I guess this is one of those 50/50 faults or do you think you're stuffed
because you hit his (looks further down thread) rear quarter ?
