No. I went to primary school in Monmouth, which at the the time was neither
    part of England or Wales.

I worked in the Forest for 15 years and undoubtedly picked up some of the
charming dialect. I have never been a resident. This may have led to your
    confusion, ol' butt.

Last year at our holiday on the isle of Rhodes i suffered of thirst in
such matter that i entered a cafe and ordered a drafted beer without
asking for anything - And got a one-litre boot-style glass.
The lady mentioned that she was glad just to heve ordered some freshly
pressed orangejuice but the smile stiffened when she was served
    something like a goldfish-bowl :-o
During our following battle for finding the bottom two finnish guy's
settled on the neigbour-table at looked very impressed on my glass-boot
and ordered - I guess the in their mind referred to my beer and ordered
a big one, since they each were served a (must be?) two-litre glass-boot :-o
Amazingly they anyhow found their bottom long before I found mine,
though I was the one (who thougt he was) suffering of thirst!!

So the agenda for your meetings reads 'rubber stamp documents' then?
What about SIPs? Staff employment? Curriculum?
Given the work I do directly influences national education policy, I
have to say yes, I appreciate I'm a somewhat unusual case though.

As to if I get involved with the governing body will I make a
difference? Yes, if I devote time and effort to it and don't just do
as I'm told as bad governors do.
Oh and sort your formatting and sig sep out if you're going to
continue posting. I've put line spacing in for you.

See below, this is being addressed.
There's a big shake up of targets and value added on the way (18
months is the time table we've been given) which I and the heads I've
been working with are rather pleased about. The department is
listening. Now we'll see if they follow through on promises.

  10. There's a trick to drinking those boots -- orient it the wrong way
and you get a surge that invariable exceeds your mouth's capacity...

Are you sure you don't have gold-plated taps?

  13. AndrewR explained on 11/10/2007 :
    I managed 90% /450 points, so that's OK then.
The balloon one (45) and/or the one about (48) suction or air pressure
    pushing it into a cylinder.

45 was a poorly worded question. 48 was a matter of opinion - I would
accept suction or air pressure as correct.

I have a map somewhere that shows all of the counties in mainland Britain.
Printed in the 60s IIRC. The title says "England, Wales, Scotland and
    Monmouthshire".

The county was created after the Welsh seized the English throne but Henry
VIII forgot to categorically state whether it was part of Wales or England.
So, over the ages different factions have claimed the county as Welsh or
English to suit their own agenda.

The Welsh border was clearly defined only when the Local Government Act
    1972 passed into law.

  16. I wonder how many stripped cam cover threads those cunts are responsible
for. I'm certain, though Icba to go look, in one or two of the HBOL I've
got it quotes 6mm cam cover bolts as ~22 ft/lbs.

Well that helps. As long as you know how big a house plot is.

What is this "plated" of which you speak?

Anyway, you've just said that a house plot in Os is a 1/4 hectare, so
not much smaller. Or did you mean a 1/4 acre? Surely not, as it's all
    metric down under, right?
Ahh, so youo _have_ gone for solid ones then?
