I never did understand pulleys. Or long division.

The gearing questions were hard. 3 and 7 I brain blistered on, but 10
was nasty imho, I mean, which side are you supposed to be looking at them?

The pulley results were bad, I got half of those wrong. I mean really
    wrong, I couldn't work them out :(

Oh and 45 I miss read.

<raises proverbial eyebrow presuming that for cat blowing is more fun>

Ah, but it would spoil the standard suck, squeeze, bang, blow
    explanation.

Air moves because atmospheric pressure is higher than the pressure in
the cylinder, squeeze, bang, blow is a bit clunky no?

Best stick to a scientific, sexual connotation free mantra: induction,
    compression, power, exhaust.

It was the intermediate contra-rotating reducing/increasing ratio

  7. I got that sorted by twiddling a small coin on the screen....

Gave up when it started asking for forces in kg. kg is a unit of /mass/
FFS, forces are measured in Newtons. Ignorant cunts can stick their quiz
if they can't something so basic right.

    Oh, I dunno.

I'm usually exhausted after a few power strokes.

  14. It worked! What's the big deal, as long as you get the right answer?

THey seem to have made that one the 'correct'one now, but I'd still
argue that given an answer phrased as aboive("suction...") it also
should be deemed to be correct.
I got that wrong too, but not being familiar with the naming
conventions I didn't worry too much about it.
Indeed. That one pissed me off too.

I guess they're too used to such misuses to worry about it. I was
surprised, however, to see the PSI question so worded - fucking
    old-fashioned gits.

I figured that given that it's a reasonable safe assumption that for all
examples in the test that g =~ 9.81m/s^2, such pedantry would be
    unnecessary.

What puzzled me the other day was seeing torque stats for an engine
quoted in kgm. That's just odd.

Odd it may be, but it's far from new. The use of "Kilograms Force" has
been around for decades at least. Indeed, it was in normal use when I
was at school, and quite frequently (mis-) abbreviated to simply Kg.
