I've developed a nasty chesty cough today so I'm going to go and test the
theory (just thought up by me) that drinking a bottle of red wine is good
    for coughs.

    Updates later.

Now, has anybody got a bottle of red wine handy? Eddie?

Don't you need a control that gets to drink the white wine?

I thought it was red wine for viruses, white wine for infections and whisky
    for anything serious?

I've had a cough for weeks, & I drink half a bottle or red wine a
night, so I suspect your theory[1] is flawed.
    Yes - 3.99 job from a garage. It's disgusting.

[1] which you have, which is yours & yours only etc etc.

He did say a bottle, which 1/2 a bottle is not.

You need to drink more ...;)

I'd love to, but it's an expensive habit.

It's beginning to sound more like a genuine illness/virus/fever than
    merely a cough.

At least that should cause less staining.
