TMRA II , DFW Chapter holds it's monthly meeting next Wednesday evening,
March 3rd..Time 7:30PM.. at VFW Post 4477 in Dallas.. For those who haven't
attended before, the address is at 300 Smith St. Dallas.. Just off Loop 12
and Jefferson.. Across the freeway from Grand Prairie.. Might be a lively
meeting because some of the candidates seeking office in the upcoming
elections should be attending.. Good opportunity to pose questions to them
and hear the answers.. Our good friend, Elmer McKeeghan will chair this
meeting, as usual...TMRA II being an organization made up of members
representing both Republican and Democratic parties, the meeting should be
enlightening and allow anyone who has a question or problem to address
whatever is on his mind.. See you all there...

You are invited.. What a great idea.. Molly Ivins would really compliment
the agenda for any meeting .. However.. I haven't recognized her attending
any of the many meetings of TMRA II .. Then too.. I don't recognize the
"alias" you are posting under, as attending any of those meetings, either..
Maybe we just crossed paths while you were in the "anonymous" mode and I
just missed you.. LOL.. At any rate, you are perfectly welcome and in case
you are totally ignorant of the TMRA II organization, it is probably as
evenly split as any other that I know of.. The membership is about 50/50
Republican and Democrats..So.. there is no need for you to be so shy..

Not an anonymous mode at all. I've been reading this slow moving
motorcycle/political board for quite some time.

I'm located near Wichita falls, and I ride a 2001 Valkyrie.

Having Molly Ivins would be a wonderful idea? LOL... Well, I suppose if you
had her and Butch Reno do a love dance while drunk on one of the tables it
would at least show the crowd you Demmies really know how to throw a wild
    and crazy party.

    Your rightwing, Bush voting friend.

Thanks, Bill. I sure enjoy it. I've ridden a lot of bikes over the years,
and the only bike, in my opinion, I consider superior to the Valkyrie, is
the new Goldwing. But I'm prejudiced.

Has good wheels too. They rotate, but don't spin. ;-)

That's my only prejudice.. I rode Goldwings for a lot of years.. Best
Touring vehicle on the market, bar none..Best Bang for the Buck.. Valkyrie
is an awesome ride, but why invest the money when you can buy a Wing for a
    lot less..

Yeah, those Valkyries are great bikes, I'm in 75214 with a 2000.

However, I'm pretty "bummed" about my choices for a future ride.

Been thinking, only thinking, about checking out the Triumph III.
    That's the 3 cylinder +2KL new model.

Anybody got any suggestions other than GoldWing, Rune'?

OOPS! sorry for the off topic material<G>.

    Thanks - Gary Walker

You may be quite right, but I thought it was the "Transit Police"
that had Valks, all from Lambs.

Well, of course, you can't buy a regular Valk anymore at all. That
is, unless you can find one left over. But, if I understood you sent-
ence - "but why invest the money when you can buy a Wing for a
lot less..". If the term "Wing" in this sentence means "GoldWing",
I haven't seen any GW's priced less than a Valk.

When they were still being displayed in the dealers, Plano Honda would sell
a pretty nice little Wing for just a little more than the Valkyrie.. The
Wing was ready to tour.. The Valkyrie was plain vanilla, if there is such a
thing for that motorcycle.. In other words, it didn't have any accessories..
The dealer in Denton also offered Wings for a comparable price to the
Valkyrie.. Al Lamb had those bikes priced a little higher.. Grapevine was
about the same as was D&S in Arlington.. Could be I am recalling the early
days of the Valkyrie, when it was hot and the dealers were almost selling
    them from the box..

I didn't know that, but I still like the Valk better. At least for my
    needs/wants.

Everybody needs to ride what they like and what suits them.. I know one ol'
boy who goes all over Texas to rallies on a Vespa scooter.. Has more fun
    than anyone there..

    I ride a '73 model CB500-4 and a 82' model 500 Ascot and love them both.
