    What?
2-4 days (your choice) on the GOR over the Cup-Weekend.
Stay at Apollo Bay. John Birrell is offering his 118 acre farm and the big
shed (with timber floor) as "home-base" for the weekend.
Stay over any night between Sat and Mon. Rides going from there along the
GOR and Hinterland in groups that will organize themselves ad-hoc.
The farm is just above Apollo Bay township, 3km trip into town.

    How?
Meet Sat.30 Oct. Todd Rd. servo (bottom city-side of West Gate Bridge) at
10.00am for the ride to Apollo Bay. Depending on size, we might have to
split up the group. Lunch somewhere along the GOR, unload stuff at John's
place, then go for an afternoon ride or hang out/ whatever.
BYO mattress/ chair-stool-whatever, sleeping bag/ pillowcase (stuffed with
riding gear for the night). Bring warm gear, the farm is right on top of the
hill and can cop south-westerly winds, making it chilly. Shower/ toilet
    onsite.
If bringing a Lilo, don't forget the airpump (or else stumble dizzily around
the top of the hill for the rest of the weekend :)).

We'll get supplies from the supermarket/bottleshop in Apollo Bay.
Help with cleanup-chores would be appreciated.
Sleep in the shed or bring your tent.

    Who?
    Anyone, L/Ps welcome as well.
Road to farm is 300m uphill good dirt. Rest are sealed roads.
Expect a group of about 12-20? 30? people or so.

Please let me know if you're coming , for details re:
    accom/facilities contact John
John's doing the detailed stuff, general questions to me.

    Please reply OFF-LIST

    cheers

Hmmm, long summer....and the 5-weeks NZ-ride right in the middle of
    it...bumma :))
late summer sounds (financially) ok, though :)
