We have another trip to Mena planned for October 6-7-8. Most of the
ones that are planning to go on my end have already made reservations
at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge. If you think you might even want to go
but aren't sure, you need to get reservations. You can always cancel if
you see you cant make it. The link to the lodge is
http://www.queenwilhelmina.com/lodge/. That lodge fills up real fast at
this time of the year. If you cant get reservations at the lodge, try
the Sun Country Inn. The phone number to the front desk is
    877-394-7477.

All are welcome to go and all skill levels are welcome. One of the nice
things about riding the Talimena Scenic Highway is you cant get lost.
There are only two roads that will take you off of the main road on the
whole 55 mile stretch. Don't turn on those and you will be fine. It
will be a ride at your own pace type of deal. If you fall behind, we
usually always stop and group up at one of the scenic turn outs until
everyone catches up. If you are a expert rider, then we will meet you
at the end or meet you coming back. Its a no pressure ride so bring
your bride. We will have several couples on this ride so wife, kids,
girlfriends are all welcome. They have alot of stuff for the kids to do
there at the lodge. They have a playground, a small train that runs
around the park that anyone can ride, they have a animal rehabilitation
center there and some other stuff.

If you like to ride twisties and see beautiful country, you need to go
on this ride. Its a place you will always want to return to.

I think the October Mena trip that redshad is putting together is the
    weekend before SNIFF.

Well the time is here. I think my wife and I are going to ride down to
Canton Thursday night and spend the night in my travel trailer and
leave from there Friday morning. I talked to my friend Brandon that
lives in Houston and he is going to come and meet me in Canton if he
can get the time off from work. He said his boss will let him know if
he can have off by Wednesday.

I may do like we did last time and join up with Louie, Bill and Big Ed
out on I-30. Havent decided yet. Since I will have Cindy with me, we
cant run 100 mph so it may be better for her and I just to ride alone.
She will probably want to stop alot also. Wakko are you and Mouse
going?? Big Ed..did you get a kitchen pass yet??

I cant wait to get there.

By Friday night I hope to be somewhere near Yellowstone. Maybe not, as the
    weather isn't looking good.

(chuckle) Well, if I'd have been able to ride with ya, it would have
been me and my Gal, and we ''wouldn't have'' run no 100 mph either. Cuz:
My Gal likes to stop fairly regular also, heh-heh- I act like it bothers
me or ittitates me, but (honestly) I am glad when she punches me and
    says;
‘‘Okay, Hotrod, lets slow down, and I need to stop pretty soon''.
You see she is the navigator(!) heh-heh(Bjay~

There's a storm moving across, they are expecting a couple of inches of
snow in the high Sierras. The weather in Jackson for SNIFF should be
    nearly ideal, though.

Might have to take a southerly route across the Rockies.

    See you there.

lol.. I heard something about some kind of "conversion" too..

Reads kind of like this "ride" is going to be everyone for himself.. Ed
can't manage to get a kitchen pass.. RedShad is going to make half the run,
the night before.. and is considering the entire run on his own.. hmmm...
Wasn't RedShad the guy that organized this ride, in the first place ? What's
    up with that ?

I've done a great deal of solo riding. I've also done a great deal of group
riding.. Some of those groups, I probably wouldn't ever ride with again.. I
do have to admit, that nothing is better than hitting the highway with a
group of riders who like each other.. That fellowship is something that few
people can understand.. Our last little trip to Mena should have been good
evidence of that.. Every ride should be done with good company.. and good
    fellowship.. Regards

Well damn...Cindy wants to ride up there because she wont go on the
ride Saturday. We are riding way further than her hind end can handle.
She will want to run 65-70 mph and thats not your speed. She will want
to stop at any given notice to stretch her legs. Thats why I am
thinking of going to Canton to break up the ride a little. I am sure
you will be riding with Big Ed and Louie. I talked to Cindy about a
hour ago and she said she may just ride with her parents. If she does
that then I am on to ride up with you guys.

My brother in law and his bunch are going to take the senic route. I
will e-mail it to you and see if you want to take that way up.

lol.. I'll ride with the bunch.. Ed is still on the fence, as far as I
know.. Anyway.. Louie and I will make the ride, coming and going.. <chuckle>

The candy asses on the ride don't have to worry .. No one has been ridden
into the ground .. hehehe.. As often as this old senior has to stop, I
think everyone has been very understanding about that kind of thing..

The ones participating in this run will undoubtedly ride their own
motorcycles.. If anyone wants to air it out a little bit, he can do that,
    without leaving anyone.. <grin>

If someone runs out ahead of the group for a ways, that's ok, he can loaf
along for a bit while the rest catch up.. Might even pull over for a smoke
break to let them come on..

On a group ride.. no one should be competing with anyone.. and by all means
... no one should be left.. Leaving someone in the group could well entail
some kind of mechanical problem ..

The ride commences when the group comes together and the trip starts.. The
ride ends when everyone in the group makes it back home..

Let's either make the RIDE as a group, or we can make the TRIP as
    individuals.. Regards
