Talking of which, can you show her this.

  6. Many older low-comp engines would run reasonably well on kerosene, but a
bike engine isn't one of them. In light of what happened to Rope's FJ,
I'd not be surprised if there's some piston damage which will show up
    down the road a bit.
If I accidentally filled a petrol bike or car tank up with kerosene now,
I'd drain it immediately and not take the chance - it's cheap to chuck a
    few gallons of kerosene.

  7. He drained as much as poss (about two thirds of a tank) on the spot, but
    couldn't drain the rest.

Actually no so. My dad used to start a pre-war AJS on petrol and then
continue on paraffin. I'd ask him for further details, but he had the
audacity to die a few years ago.

False premise, as I did not say 'one of them is a British National Party
bovver boy, therefore they are all British National Party bovver boys'.

  14. Older engine, with fairly low CR, yes? Proper kerosene engines have CR
of around 7:1. Modern engines don't like it much.

we had a Ferguson T20 tractor that ran on a variation of kerosene, TVO or
tractor vaporising oil. Same drill, start on petrol until warm then turn
over to TVO. We couldn't get TVO locally in the late 70s so used pink
    paraffin.

You're correct. I think they all rush so hard to make you look like a
thick ****, that sometimes they forget to hide their own thickness. Who
    fucking cares anyway?
