Strangely enough I have a three DVD box of The Ashes of 2005 sitting
    here. Watched disk 1 yesterday.

I certainly intend to. The bigger delight is that it actually cost
    nothing :)

I haven't had anything to drink yet. Still kinda thinking that maybe
necking half a bottle of absinthe to ensure a good night's sleep wasn't
the best idea I've ever had.

We did. In fact, one of the nicest I can remember. Godzilla King of the
Turkeys was beautifully cooked. Tender, moist and full of flavour. The
garden yielded vegetables (ably augmented by Tesco), and the booze
flowed freely. Pressies were plentiful, and well-chosen.

And I have tickets for "War of the Worlds" at the O2 next December. :^)

Goodwill to the lot of you.

Whether you want it, or not.

  12. *Good* score. I reckon that will be spine tingling good. I might just
have to buy tickets for the Amsterdam show in November.

To put everything out on time I worked non stop for 4 hours which includes
table setting. The goose was not unlike beef, amazing. The pork belly was
delish, first time I've cooked that, will do again. The only hiccup was
gravy, the bird was cooked over veggies and gravy made as normal. Way too
rich to eat, 2 pints of it would have sustained Eritrea for a week
(fortunately I had a backup) so the tame blackbirds have put on a kilo each.

I shall just invite Bear next time.

Someone insisted on cracking open the Isle of Jura. This after a bottle of
Moet Rose Imperial, C. du Pape and several beers. So cunted we couldn't
talk. I'm moving mostly slowly today.
