    Count me as educated.
    Well, exactly.
    I'm not sure he knows that. I don't ;-)

Ah.. now I wear mine back-to-front with the extra material over my
head for that sort of thing.

    Or Star Wars parties.

    You are!

Do they both build up huge amounts of static and zap everything in
    sight?

The gite side is fine, and new.

There are only <counts> 23 casement-type windows to do.

I imagine I'll be let off on parole if I do the upstairs ones.

Snowy, they're actual sisters, not euphemistic ones.

I can't envisage a scenario where they'd rub against each other to a
    sufficient degree.

Heh - that's your mind, not mine - I find I create huge amounts of
static in mine and wondered if it was just me...

That's OK then. Two windows a day and then hit the booze.

Good luck with that. We've just spent two weeks also in Grenouilleshire
chiselling out the cement, lime mortaring around the frames,
unscrewing/drilling out hinges, taking out the glass, sanding back to
bare wood, painting, new glass, puttying[1], <fx:counts> four windows.
On top of the five we've already done, only two more to go and that's
the front finished. Then it's time to start on the back.

[1]swmbo's getting pretty good at it now.

This is merely a stop-gap measure. If it needs doing properly, the new
owners [if they ever materialise] are welcome to get stuck in.

Still easier to use GBP if you're using a non-UK keyboard,
particularly a laptop one with no numeric keypad. And I still tend to
use Eu instead of the euro symbol for the same reason.

Good news! All the windows open inwards, so no arseing about with
    ladders.
