Man...what the hell happened to Colin? By T3 he was in last place! Argh.

Exciting first half of race...was really cool when Guintoli and DePuniet got
up front. Did you hear the crowd go nuts?

Crazy race, more of a lottery than rain races usually are. But no one can
doubt the awesome performance by Vermeulen. And Stoner showing smarts in
this one. Hayden seemed to be coming along very well towards the end, but it
was ended by a nasty spill - luckily it didn't hurt.

Stoner certainly seems to be doing an excellent job. A safe third
place when his primary rival is behind him looks to me like the
actions of a rider serious about winning the championship.

Indeed. And the Ducati-Bridgestone momentum seems to be accelerating, plus
Stoner is coming into his own - able to ride very aggressively and -as in
this race- smartly. I think we have a serious championship favorite, he is
showing consistency at the very front, and now can afford to relax and go
for points while the others have to take risks to catch up. Rossi's mistakes
in this race (it's a miracle he didn't bin it) and Hayden's crash are
indicators of the other side of risk taking.

Back in November 2005, I wrote something like ".. very promising. I am kind
    of hyped about Stoner in
MotoGP, somehow I developed the feeling he may be the hottest addition to
    the
series, and I am glad it came off. Sue me if he bombs. :) ..."

No chance of anyone suing me for this. :) It'd be spectacular if he wins
the championship. And wow, with vermeulen winning today, Australian riders
are kind of on a roll in MotoGP again. Seems like the 90s again. :)

Did you see Vali's quote...he basically said Michelin is behind the 8 ball
this year in terms of tires. That's HUGE coming from a Mich sponsored
    rider...much less Vali.

Wow...how did things change so quick in a year?

Dunlop had a pretty decent day for a while also...but then again..t.hey
should have tons of data for LeMans with endurance racing.

I wonder what excuse 'AUS' will come up with for Valentino getting
    beaten again.......

I like Edwards, but come on. Once again he finds a way straight to
the back (quite literally) once the race starts.
