  6. Another reason why the NEC is such shite. Two shows, a fortnight apart,
but if someone's got a new bike to parade, they don't unveil it in the
UK. I fail to see the point of the UK Bike Show, I really do.

It's not a show. It's a market. Nothing wrong with that, mind.

I don't mind the NEC being the venue at all. From a trader's point of
view the NEC is a better venue for two reasons:

    1) Access to the showhalls and greater space inside..
    2) Leisure motorcycling is more popular in the north. NEC is easier for
    Northerners to get to.
    3) Greater capacity.

From a punter's viewpoint Brum also scores.

    1) Access to the venue from north, south or wherever.
    2) It's not in the middle of London and hard to find if you don't know
    the area.
    3) Better facilities.
    4) Much better parking for cars and bikes.
    5) More room for stands meaning a greater choice.

Having the show in Brum is a far better prospect overall tbh.

Agreed. It's easier (and quicker if I use public transport) for me to
    get from
Harrow to the NEC than it is to Ally Pally.

You're fucking joking. NEC is a damn sight easier to get to than
    Alexandra Palace.

Train/bus/motorway/plane all stop within 100 metres walk of the place.

It's not that different from Brighton to NEC as it is to Ally Pally.

I don't think that applies to just bike shows.

indeed - Ally Pally is jolly handy for those of us fortunate to live in
the People's Autonomous Enclave of Norlonto.
