Don't think so. Girl in club smashed on brandy, gets violent, thrown out by
security, admits criminal damage and assault. Subdued by officers, later
examined by doctor at police station, and no injuries apparent. It was a
    textbook response IMO.

In a statement, Pc Mulhall said: "As her hands became free she tried to grab
handfuls of my genitals and knee and kick me in the same place."

Respect to PC Mulhall-- multiple handfulls, fnarr! I'd have given her the
same treatment, had I been in his place.

Looking like a scrote doesn't give plod the right to use excessive
    force to restrain you.

I could have understood if they'd used CS gas on the bitch or banged
1000v up her **** but slapping her around was going ott.

Bollocks, saw her on TV today. She's a scrote, and the police do a fine
job[1]. She was too drunk to remember and is claiming mentalism[2] as her
defence. Nope, I'm glad someone gave her a hiding. Thick as two short
planks, sure review it, but she's a bad apple.

    [1] well, you know

She was originally claiming that "she *might* have been having a fit or
something" and now seems to be sure that's what was happening despite saying
    she couldn't remember anything.

Yes , it looks like a downward thunp with his arm as police are trained to
do in order to get someone to let go.

Is that what's called a convenient truth? I bet that's not in her original
statement from the morning after the night before.

Does that really mean that the police can punch her several times
without any worries about someone asking why they did it?

Reasonable force is ok by me but the officer concerned should have to
explain his actions. If he's got a good reason then that's fine _but_
he has to be able to offer that explanation or he's a bullying thug
    hiding behind a uniform.

He already has offered an explanation (compiled from a couple of reports
    in the Guardian):

Ms Comer admits she had been drinking brandy and had become aggressive
    in the club.

In a statement after the arrest, PC Mulhall acknowledges he struck Ms
Comer but said he only did so in self-defence and after extreme
provocation. "She began to kick, spit and made attempts to bite me," he
said in his statement. "As her hands became free she tried to grab
handfuls of my genitals and knee and kick me in the same place. At this
point, I struck her as hard as I was able with my right fist in an
attempt to subdue her. There was no apparent effect so I did this twice
    more."

When she kept resisting, he said, he hit her again. Trying to put her in
handcuffs, he states that "I now struck her as hard as I was physically
able in an attempt to deaden her arm ... In the end I had to use brute
    force."

He has not been suspended and was defended by his chief constable,
    Meredydd Hughes.

"When I saw the footage, I was horrified," said Mr Hughes. "What also
horrifies me is that this whole incident is being pinned on a few
seconds of CCTV. This morning I have had the opportunity to see the rest
of the footage which shows the rest of the incident." .

He said that the arrest had to be seen in context and that the force
would cooperate fully with the outside inquiry.

Mr Hughes stressed that Ms Comer had not required medical attention
following the incident outside a Sheffield nightclub last July, and that
the officer himself had made his actions known to the custody officer on
    the day of the incident.

He said that he himself had been injured by a woman smaller than Ms
Comer, who is five foot six and weighs nine stone. "It's not the size of
the dog in the fight it's the amount of fight in the dog," he said.

The chief constable's remarks prompted an angry response from Ms Comer.
"What a way to put it," she said at her mother, Lisa Comer's, home in
    Sheffield.

She's a known druggie/pisshead, utter scum at the lowest end of the
radar, if some scumbag came for your balls - what would you do? No
reason to over-react. MACE the bitch first & if she wont cry, then
start worrying. Mind you, she's a dirty Southerner, from a place near
Meadowhell. Bet her middle name is Shantel or summat.

The cops have a **** of a job made harder by cunts, but, I do agree,
    force when needed only.

I've left the above unsnipped because that's explaining the plods
actions. As far as I can see that's all that's required to close the
case, but the explanation is needed.

    Get fucking real.

The police have to be accountable for their actions because if they
aren't then we might as well throw in the towel and shoot to kill when
someone crosses the road on a red light.

Being in Niche makes it pretty much 99% certain you are a scrote. The place
gets closed down within 5 minutes every time it reopens...

the only way possible in the circumstances. What was the guy at the
other end doing, undoing her trousers and ?
