Didn't one of the magazines do an article about modern sports bikes causing
double vision and headaches because the eyes are always looking up and it
stress's the nerves ... or summat

That's a bit difficult, if I try to bend them in any way the lenses pop
out. The lenses are about 8 to 9mm thick in wire frames.

I don't have a modern sports bike.

What's the average BMW owners excuse for buying the hideous piles they
own, cos they are hardly sporty and you've got to have a vision defect
to consider one.

Why, I know I'll hate it.

 

I've got a BMW and I like to think I've got a pretty fucking good
sports bike sitting in my garage.

I've also got a reasonably competent motard sitting there waiting to
be abused whenever I feel like it so where have I, as an average BMW
owner, gone wrong?

I'm not so sure about where you find your definitive BMW owner. Let's
examine the evidence that we can find on ukrm and just for a start
you'll get myself, Burnt, Hog, Statto, Wessie and TOG. You can include
Timo, Nige, numerous versions of Steve and Jabba the Hut in that list
(1) and you'll struggle to find someone who swears they'll never buy
another bike made by BMW.

Most of us have owned (or still own) sports bikes and do quite a few
miles on bikes in all sorts of conditions yet the majority still keep
their smelly old beemers...

(1) Anybody feeling offended because I've missed them off this list
can **** right off and I don't care if they work for the commuters

With the exception of Statto, you don't paint a very good picture of
BMW owners you know. Anyway, what BMW has Statto got, cos last time I
looked he was buying a Ducati ST4S and also had a Daytona 955i SE like
my old one?
