Come on, its Bear, he retains the right to change his mind if it suits
his brown nosing. I thought everyone knew that?

I think the way they've been done on the current crop of Jap sportsbikes
is hideous. Ducati ones look wonderful, and I've seen a couple of
specials that managed to pull off the trick, but generally they're naff
    IMHO.[/QUOTE]

I think triumph have done a nice job on their new one

That is quite a steal. Mind you, I think even the base 06 bike now comes
with some Ohlins kit. No before time, too - the Sachs suspension on mine
is, shall we say, somewhat firm

They're actually lovely bikes, especially in the bends.

I noticed that. The rear shock is ohlins.

That made me dribble my chicken soup down my front.

That was the big problem with the Falco: superb forks, cheap and nasty
    rear shock.

A decent rear shock was on the shopping list, until that twat[1] in a
Citroen sent it to the great breakers yard in the sky.

[1] "I work for the DVLA, and that bike is not displaying a valid tax
disk" never struck me as a particularly good excuse for doing a U-turn
    without sufficient observation.

I can just imagine Mr Mammoth noting the sudden jump in website traffic and
thinking it's going to be a good years sales-wise.

  12. Not a lot. People did stuff, bought bikes, sold bikes, went places, some
    came back. Usual nonsense.

Have you lost the life you must have gained that allowed you to escape
    from ukrm for months?

    No change there then!
Not really. Just been incredibly busy with the new licensing act
(working stupid hours!), been away a few times (Florida, Paris) and
girlfriend moved in in November. I`m afraid something had to give
time-wise - and UKRM was it! Now things are settling down at work and
gf is on nights (same job)

It's hardly like you designed the fucking things. I'd have an MV like
a shot if it produced as much BHP per £ as a Kawasaki.

  17. Sounds like you had your priorities right though ;-)

Anyway it is good to see that you're still around.

Yebbut if I /had/ designed them, that's how they'd look.
MV was recently sold for 1 Euro[1] - which I think makes it unbeatable
on the BHP per £ scale[2].

[1] Not /an/ MV - all of MV.
[2] If you ignore the rather large debts that were part of the package.
