    Anyone have one?

Fancy a change from Symbian( no real reason, just had symbian for ~2.5
years) and looking at something with a qwerty keyboard.. Also I'm looking
for it on vodaphone as thats the only network with guaranteed coverage
inside the offices at work plus add teh 500mb included browsing I would
    be a happy bunny.

Anyone got one that would care to comment?

I've got a Touch Cruise and would recommend that over the TyTN, as it's
3G+, lighter, etc. Lots of advantages (apart from the keyboard, natch).

My prime minion has one (Vodafone branded). It's 'OK'. IMHO it needs a
firmware update as it's somewhat unstable. I prefer my HTC touch.

I've had one for a while now.

The inbuilt GPS is pretty good (using TomTom). I used it on the TOG tour
in the tank bag connected to an Autocom and it was mostly fine. One
problem was that Outlook calendar reminders kept butting in and then the
spoken directions stopped until I cleared them (a bit awkward with
gloved hands in the tank bag). It cooked under the clear plastic of the
tankbag in the sun and then wouldn't charge until it had cooled down -
not really the fault of the 'phone. Screen's not brilliant in sunlight.

Outlook e-mail with push etc, is all fine. The keyboard is handy but I
find myself using the touch screen with the pen most of the time.
Battery life seems ok, except when using the GPS, when it tanks pretty
    damn quickly.

Main camera seems pretty good, I don't use any 3g video stuff.

The worst thing about it is actually making a call - it's not
straightforward to look up numbers, dial from the call history etc. At
least I don't find it so. Not as easy as the spv E650 that I had before
(though I'm not tempted to switch back to it).

Played with PointUI for a while, don't bother with it any more.

could that be the usual carrier branded firmware? I believe the HTC
    generic is a lot better

I just want something thats half decent at web sites, got sat nav
capability, good with calls(obviously)and easy to add games and things to.

wifi is an absolute must as I use that all teh time on my N95.

TBH the generic HTC firmware ain't that great either. Mine tends to
disagree with me on my intentions at least a few times a day. I think a
fair amount of that is the fact that I am faster than the UI (see video
driver comments in the other post I linked to).

All in though, I chose it because it seemed to be the best
multi-function device with all the features I wanted on the market (due
to the endless delays on the HP 914)

Almost certainly. Certainly was on my TyTn.

Mine's very good on the Touch Cruise too. I've got no complaints so
    far.
