I'm a relatively high/medium high user on a personal type contract. I
upgrade more or less every 12 months [1] for either Jess, Fiona or myself.

I walk into the network's branded shop, say I'd like a new phone I'd been
thinking of XXX or this is Jess/Fiona the contracts are in my name but
it's their phone, they'd like a new one please. Let me know when they've
chosen and I'll sign the paperwork.

As I'm tight I go for the free ones and sometimes get a better than
normally available contract.

I just don't have any hassle when I do this. It just works. You must
piss them off or something.


[1] This is with Orange, T-Mobile and Vodaphone - everyone's on
different contracts

 

I have an SPV C-500, although it has a few shortcomings [1] overall it's
a really good windows based phone sized phone.


[1] Bluetooth file transfer is crap.

Exactly the same size, weight and battery life.

SE are making a few phones based on the same phone guts, and putting
slightly different software on them and different cases.

So I suppose it comes down to which one you like the looks of, and

What is the current favourite Nokia then? I don't do Sony Ericcson
since I had a T68 pile of crap.

Ah well. I used to own a GS550 and I now own a gixer thou, so I suppose
I'd be advised to try the new range of Sony Ericcsons.

 

I've gone off Nokia since I got used to my Sony Ericsson T630.

 

Is that when it goes on general release or more to the point I can get
one, or is that an inside job?

I've learned a bit from this thread, mainly that I used to spell
Ericsson incorrectly.

But not everyone reading this understands what you meant by it, They
don't all know that I owned a GS550. Some of them are too thick to
realise I now have a Gixer Thou, even though it's in my .sig.
