    The 620

What is the difference between the dark version and a standard black one
other than the shine on the paint?

A dealer is telling me the only other difference is the single front disc on
the dark. But is the frame or any other part of the bike different? I've
seen black monsters with silver coloured frames. And I thought they had
different gearboxes too? Dealer said, no both 5 speed.

    Any help appreciated.

  5. Well, that depends on which website he's reading - the US Ducati models
are sometimes different from the Australian market ones, so
    www.ducati.com isn't neccessarily correct, and the www.ducati.com.au
website is run by NFI, who are very aptly named...

I've been to the Vic Park but they only have the new liquid cooled monsters
which I'm not partial to. Where's Morley? I'm in Joondalup. Sorry don't know
Perth too well yet. I just come over from Melbourne.

    Found this:

'The Dark version is characterised by the absence of the removable seat
cover, which adds aesthetic appeal to the seat when riding solo, and the
absence of the front fairing and rubber clad footrests.'

I don't understand that statement about the seat cover. Are they talking
about the pillion seat? And why does it add aesthetic appeal?

Oh I get it, it means the pillion is covered by a plastic shell, which is
removable when you need to. Don't see the need for this cover anyhow.

covering the pillion in a plastic shell would probably help with
    aerodynamics

Go down the freeway, take the tunnel exit, turn left at Gt Eastern Hwy.
Melbourne is just 4000 kms down that road. Or get a phonebook and a street
    directory.

  19. It depends on the size But the Darks have budget suspension and on the 900s'
I think some internal engine changes as well ,maybe cams and carbs
    Frames are identical

    I've
Gearboxes are the same I believe
Hope this helps, but beware, I don't often know what I'm talking about

Just get it ,you know you want to
