What kind of difference can the use biodiesel make when it comes to
changing the world for the better? Perhaps the biggest impact of the
use of biodiesel fuel instead of just plain diesel is on the human
    health and the environment.
One of the biggest differences that biodiesel make is with regards to
smog. Using biodiesel actually reduces smog. Both unburned hydrocarbons
and nitrogen oxides in diesel fuel account for most of the particulates
in air pollution. When you use biodiesel product or homemade biodiesel
there is a substantial reduction of unburned hydrocarbons and if you
are using a blend that is right for your machine. Tests that have been
conducted according to EPA regulations have shown that the hydrocarbon
exhaust emissions that biodiesel are half that of that measured for
    diesel fuel.
Can biodiesel make more energy? Unlike the burning of fossil fuels, the
burning biodiesel fuels actually gives back more energy to the
environment that it takes. Lifecycle studies of biodiesel production
show that for every unit of fossil energy it takes to manufacture ...

Not sure many bikers would care to put biodiesel in their tanks.

I've been running my camper on it for 3 years now tho, but my main incentive
to use it is price, it's between 5 and 25 cents a litre cheaper than dino
diesel at the pumps in germany, and i go out of my way to find a biodiesel
pump when i'm in germany.. or near to germany.

I also havent filled the camper up with fuel in england for the past 3
years, as when both tanks are full i can make it from Krefeld (germany) to
Grantham (england) and back again on the 150 litres i carry, of course that
means very little driving about once back home, but it's cheaper for me to
go abroad when i want to go campin (the price of 2 nights campsite fee's in
england are more than the ferry ticket, and once over there it's free to
    camp almost anywhere)

  3. **** all, in the grand scheme of things. Even as a biodiesel maker and
user, I realise that there's not enough arable land available to make
enough - little more than 10% of our diesel needs can be met with BD.

The problem with BD is that it attracts all sorts of cunts who have
starry-eyed visions about a green and pleasant future.

These part time green arses will grab at anything that makes them look like
    they're saving the plannet.

i use bio diesel purely 'cos it's cheaper than dino diesel at the pumps in
germany, when i'm near luxembourg i'll fill up with dino diesel at about 60p
a litre, purely because in that place it's the cheapest,

i'd run the van on coal if it would and was cheaper than the stuff i use
now, bollocks to the planet, i wont be around to see it when it implodes in
a ball of fire due to our use of carbon fuels and all that shit, (i love the
look on the green arses faces in town when i give that reply to their 'do
you care for the planet sir' crap :)

I tend to view them the same way I do feral Christians asking if I've
    heard the good news.

    Hairy Arse ha escrit:
Ten years ago in Dagoland they were claiming the benefits of eolic
energy (electric wind mills). Now that it is a reality and some regions
are beginning to have interesting productions of electricity, they
complain the mills "hurt the landscape".

  7. Fucking NIMBYs. 1.

We have them here, in fact all over the place. I'd love to see their
faces when the days of cheap electricity finish and they've kyboshed all
    attempts to replace it.
