Most unfortunate accident I have seen

I saw what may go down in history as one of the most unfortunate
accidents yesterday. The weather was a bit pants yesterday. On those days
when you see 3m plus waves pounding the beach in the normally mirror flat
Med. you know the weather will go bad quickly and randomly.

Anyway I went to the town centre and whilst waiting for a bus home I saw
a most remarkable thing. Some poor unfortunate courier was minding his
own business going along the main road. Not too fast, not too slow. Just
trundling along with traffic. When a *HUGE* gust of wind came along
    and ........

...... blew a steel and glass, catering display cabinet from in front of a
shop into the road. Poor sod drove straight into it at about 20 mph. The
breaking glass, clanging steel and swearing rider made a hell of a noise.
There was really nothing he could have done. It appeared from behind a
bus waiting at the bus stop travelling at warp speed and claimed him in
the middle lane of a three lane road.

Yamaha 125s have now been proved to be stronger than catering cabinets,
with the bike getting off very lightly. All levers intact with minor
scratches to the paint seeming to be all. The rider, being a courier, was
wearing more protective clothing than the usual flip flops, shorts and
elbow mounted helmet and escaped with bruises and shock.

I have [1] a great curiosity as to how he's going to explain it to the
insurance company. The sheer randomness of it made me think of pianos
falling from the sky onto cartoon characters.

[1] Also a bit of guilt about finding his misfortune so funny. I'll get
over that very quickly tho...... OOOooh! Over it already!

Oi, **** off on yer funky moped yow [insert suitable Nige expletives]
    northern git.

I think Mr A has the right of it. He would have used it in one of his
allegedly true insurance claim form quote routines.

Like many regional comedians, and wines, he doesn't 'travel'. His "they
ain't got no cowin bovril" piece on football was mildly amusing many
    years ago.
