Moto GP to be slowed down

    The safety link seems to come from something Rossi says, almost as an
    afterthought, could it be that they're reducing the four+ cylinder
    capacity to give the twins a chance?

    I don't know this, of course, so wibble.

    This is MotoGP not Superbikes so the 4 cylinder vs Twin debate isn't
    relevant as most bikes are 4's or V5. V6 arriving shortly from Blata!

    I think it is a safety issue but one led in part by bike development
    outstripping tyre development. Michelin who haven't actually had any
    tyre safety issues have gone on record saying at the current rate of
    development the bikes will be simply too much for the tyres for a
    single race distance.

    Personnaly I don't see a capacity reduction as a step backwards at
    all.
