    Fantastic service from these guys.

Ordered a 'comfort' seat for the SO Boxer on Tuesday night, arrived
    today.

Just need the bike back now.

Is it good? I've always fancied one.

    I'm in this Sat BTW.

It looks good, and feels good. But haven't tried it on the bike, as I
don't get it back 'till tomorrow.

Saturday sounds like a plan, but I want to fit the new seat first.

Fair enough. I've found that as the seat's got older that it has become
less comfortable and wondered if a comfort seat would help. Perhaps it's
    because I've got older.

    Is it pattern or genuine?

    OK, just let me know.

It's a pattern part - which means it's almost identical to a real one,
aside from having a plastic, rather than metal, base.
Can't see anything going on this Sat. that means I can't do it. Unless
work goes massively tits-up on me tomorrow, which is unlikely.

Just realised I drive almost past your front door every Monday morning,
    ffs....

I've just had this terrible mental image of you sitting astride the
saddle, with it strapped to K's back, doing a "Slim Pickens in Dr
    Strangelove" routine.

    It's a little disturbing, TBH.

I should probably get more exercise.

They've had my money for a set of Versys engine bars for 4 weeks now,
but that's not their fault because Hepco and Becker are moving factory
so stopped production for the duration.

Motobins did phone me as soon as I placed the order online to inform me
of the situation before they took the money from my account, which was
    very much appreciated.

I fitted the BM comfort seat on my R100RT and actually found it less
comfortable than the stock seat (lower / thinner / flatter [1]).
Apparently it is more comfortable for the pillion though (the main
    reason for changing it).

As I'm also a cyclist even 'less comfortable' was still ok for me in
    comparison.

[1] At 6'2" that didn't help with the general fit either but I could
still easily see over the +2" screen.

I can only agree. The K's top box has two claw latches that hold the
lid shut, operated by a folding handle that doubles as the carry
handle when it's off the bike.

And one claw has stopped working - I blame my daughter for trying to
force the damn thing shut against the pressure of her over-filled
school bag every morning. So I carried the thing into the kitchen
yesterday evening and dismantled the locking mechanism (loads of
pingfuckits) to discover that the handle contains a casting on each
side, which operates the claws, and the casting on the right-hand side
    had broken.

Rang Motobins to see if they could supply one (without, it must be
said, much hope). They said they didn't have a used one and it would
have to be ordered through a main agent, but gave me the part number.
    Great stuff.

Ordered it from Motorworks (fourteen pounds and a penny) but I'll keep
Motobins on file, as it were.

Not happening - Cardiff Motorrad won't get the bike back to me until the
    middle of next week.

    Argh!

Not happy with the dealer who sold it to me at all.

But to be fair to Cardiff Motorrad, at least they say they can deliver
it back to me before the bank holiday weekend.

Want to pick the stuff up from the doorstep on Monday then or leave it a
    while?

You won't believe this..... my usual Monday meeting in Oakley has been
moved to Bristol this coming Monday.

    So, better leave it.

I will make it at some point - but everything is conspiring against me
    at the moment.

Sorry to feck you about on this stuff. I don't appear to be able to make
any plans from one hour to the next at the moment.
