I dunno if this will be the norm but RPM said that tonight's MotoGP will be
shown at 10:10pm on 10HD and 11:55 pm on analogue/SD.
They didn't say which states that applies too.

I wasn't gonna' make any assumptions because that would mean the race
would've started 9:30-ish AEST which seemed too early but now that I think
about it that would be about right.
Fark; that means the Brisbane analogue telecast (usually advertised as
"live") is delayed about 2-and-a-half hours!

Thanks very much guys, thank christ I looked on ausmoto while waiting
for the race to start !

I had it set to record the high-def broadcast at midnight because
that's what the 10 website said was when it started (didn't say it was
only talking about analogue), and was going to watch it on foxtel.
Would have missed recording the bloody main race !

The race is being run at 1400 spanish time which is 2300 Sydney (AEST)
time, so yeah it's being played live on foxtel, and if they're
starting the telecast on 10 at 2230 then it's probably a live feed of
the motogp (with half an hr of chat) and then the 250s and 125s on a
delay - they usually put the GP first on 10s broadcast anyway.

I don't think Corser has ever managed a 2nd but the other two results have
    certainly occurred in MotoGP/500.
Corser had one unhappy season in the 500s (about 1997) but I'd doubt he ever
    got better than about 5th.

The Fox broadcast finished at 9 pm WST (yes, we went off daylight saving
yesterday morning) so the main start would start at 11pm EDST.

Yup it sure did. Watched it on Foxtel and checked the recording of 10
HD this morning - there was no flaming 250s or 125s(1) on the HD
broadcast - they only broadcast the motogp...

<sigh> Big kudos to 10 for broacasting it in HD at a respectable hour,
brickbats for cutting the rest off (or should that be - user is an
idiot because he can't sucessfully read a tv guide.

  10. And what makes you so special that you can finish daylight saving time a week before
    Victoria?

so the main start would start at 11pm EDST.

We are in the second season of a three year 'trial' of daylight savings to
see if we like it. This 'trial' was necessary because we have had a previous
one season trial, and three referenda, on daylight savings which all
resulted in a resounding "no thanks".

This 'trial' is like a Bill Gates "Do you really want to shut down your
computer" message, which is followed by a "are you really, really sure".

whenever it was, it was too late for me. AND I can't work my bloody VHS
thing - have tried and failed on many occasions - hate technology!!! The
alarm clock is a wonderful invention..... I woke up when the race was about
to start, then crawled back into bed afterwards. Works for me....

betty the luddite, still 'sort of' bikeless
    and getting very twitchy
