Certainly, I'm impressed that it's at least widescreen. WSBs is still in
crappy 4:3 format, even when it was broadcasted from PI.

 

Well I recorded it in HD, (watched the live transmission on fox), when I
had a skim through it after the software prog removed the ads (to check
it hadn't deleted any of the race) it looked bloody good. If they'd do
what they did the first time and put it on at a viewable hour I'd watch
it on HD. It def wasn't full HD (1080P) but it looked like it was prob
720i (ie the WXGA ish resolution (1280x1024 ish without looking it up) -
whatever it was it looked good anyways.

<Shrug> if the screen is big enough them the vertical pillar boxes don't
matter (just as long as you don't stretch screen it - uggh). WSBKs in
HD would be nice but given none of the free to airs put it on ('cept
SBS's snuippets) I guess we have to wait for foxtel hd
