Anybody else notice the Aragon A logo plastered everywhere looked like
a stick man drawing of two people doing it doggy style.

    "Aragon A logo"?

I presume you mean the A-Style logo? Yeah, years ago.

The first lap was quite interesting. Then it just turned into a
procession at the front. There was more life further back but the tv
coverage is, as always, all about the guy at the front. Borrrrrrrriiing.

    Incidentally, Weston?

The one thing you can guarantee at Weston is exitement of the absolutely
fucking bonkers variety. Great to watch, the riders must be insane.

Opposite for me. The first couple of laps and last lap were interesting
with the snooze in the middle.

Well yeah, there was just a little excitement at the start and end,
    but that was all.

Not exciting for sure, but I did find it interesting to see Lorenzo
descend a bit further after being so dominant in the first half of the
    season.

Rossi must be the best development rider around, so I'm wondering if
Yamaha are slipping due to missing his input for a few months. And
(conspiracy theory time) are Ducati suddenly doing better because
Rossi/Burgess have been helping them out?

I doubt it. It was just one race and if Lorenzo has learnt anything over
the years, he shouldn't be panicking now.
Absolutely no chance. If anything, he'd be helping Dani.

I doubt he's panicking, but that is three races without a win, & his
    lowest finish all season.
You do know he's riding a Ducati next year? I bet winning the first
race on a different bike is right at the top of his want list,
especially if he can win his last race on the Yamaha (which doesn't
seem very likely if the rumours are true).

I didn't see him panicking, but I did see him throw an almighty strop.
Rumour has it he had a big celebration planned, involving climbing up
that big stone wall on the inside of the circuit, and he didn't even
make it on to the podium.

Clearly what I wrote came out wrong. I didn't mean to imply that he's
panicking, more that he's not panicking and these things happen. He's had
a good run, but then hit a sequence where Pedrosa has been strong and
    Stoner got things sorted.

Motegi could well go to Pedrosa too, and who's going to bet against Stoner
    at P.I.?
Gee, I must have missed that. Is it in the news at all?
It was a tongue-in-cheek nod to the possible idea that he doesn't want
    Lorenzo to get the championship.

Where did you see the strop? It wasn't on Eurosport's main coverage.
That section looks perfect for a 1-in-million disaster as someone crashes
big time on the top loop, and the bike bounces over the fence and down the
100ft drop onto the track below.

Also amusing was the fairly unanimous praise for the circuit, and Stoner's
    comment of "it's nothing special".

And another thing. That Toby Moody kept talking like Aragón would be on
the calendar permenantly, but it's just supposed to be a filler for 1
year. Maybe he's reading from the "leaked" schedule for next year.

A lot of people are forgetting that Lorenzo is now 56 points
clear of Pedrosa in the championship, so he doesn't need to
run the risk of launching it into the scenery for the sake
of 3 points between 3rd and 4th. Hayden, on the other hand,
was out for a podium or the kitty litter. That's not to take
anything away from Hayden's riding, but Lorenzo has his
championship hat on and knows he can play the long game off
the podium and still win the championship.

that's how I have been reading it. However, it can lead to complacency
and a lack of development which could mean that Yamaha are off the pace
at the beginning of the next season, when Ducati are going to be pulling
out the stops to try to give Rossi a win in his 1st race.

I reckon you're bonkers if you think he wasn't giving it his all in a
home GP. He couldn't stick with Stoner & Pedrosa, & Hayden did a
fantastic job of hanging him out to dry when he passed him. Had there
been another bend where Lorenzo was close enough, there's no way he
    wouldn't have gone for it.
