MotoGP: On freesat in HD

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Carmichael, Mar 20, 2011.

  1. Will I be able to see the MotoGP in HD without ads from Astra? I can get it
on Dago telly, but not in HD I don't think.

There is no HD coverage of MotoGP at the moment. It should come in later
    this year.

I don't think it's available on HD at all but I can't remember where I
got that idea from so it's probably total bollocks.

I just watched the 125s on TVE's test HD channel. If it wasn't HD it was a
    very good imitation.

I think that the people running WSB has assumed the world and their dog
is getting the feed in HD. The font used for the on screen information
from the Oz round was almost unreadable it was so small.

  13. Not restricted to that. Problem is, cunts in studios with HD monitors
and good eyesight tend to assume every fucker has the same.
A prime example of this is the Sky News red button weather window - tiny
figures on the screen maps, half the size they should be (indeed, half
the size they actually were until a few months ago, when the red button
service was done over by some arsehole).

While we're on the subject of broadcasters pissing us off, can I add
the 'Killzone 3 on PS3 sponsors movies on 5' ads? Specifically the fact
the volume's double that of the film & other ads that sandwich them. It
annoyed me so much last night during Deathrace that I had to make my
second complaint to the ASA in as many weeks.

And the sprites, don't forget the fucking sprites. I know what channel
I'm viewing you cunts, so **** off with your uber irritating channel
    branding.

  16. A common problem and not one restricted to TV news broadcasts. Software
developers are nearly all the same. Except those trained by me.
