Does anybody know what time all the races finish on Sunday? I'm
travelling down to Reading for a course next week and I'll be heading
past the A43 junction which I expect will be pretty busy after the
MotoGP race and also after the 125 race (due to start at 14:30) - is
there anything after that? If not it'll all be well gone by the time I
    go past.

Can't even monitor the race day for delays as I'll be watching a Vulcan
    fast taxi run.

If it's anything like last year at Donington they'll do practice in the
morning, 125s, Moto2 and MotoGP races in that order in the afternoon and
then a couple of ropey support races after the main event to give people
something to watch while the queues build up in the car park.

The TV coverage of the MotoGP race ends around 2.15pm, so expect heavy
    traffic from then.

125 is last race this year, starting at 14:30. Unless somebody comes up
with times for the support races (there weren't any last time I went,
which was a few years ago, maybe 04) I'll just leave it til the evening.

I did notice the gap when setting up TiVo the other day. Is there an F1
race on or something that clashes?

Start 07:30 work on turbine emergency stop valves
Finish 17:30 walk to van, drive back to hotel and think about maybe
watching races next weekend when I get home.

Working weekends sucks but the money's ok.

Start 12:30 sitting in a basement waiting for the football to start
Finish 01:00, walk to hotel, sink a beer and go to bed

Well, that didn't quite work out as planned.

    10:00 wake up.
    10:30 attempt to start CBX
    10:33 plug optimate in
    12:00 still no joy.
13:00 Aha!. Refit seat. Wheel onto drive. Won't start.
    13:02 Remove seat re-attach optimate.
    13:04 Watch MotoGP
15:00 Watch Kiwis humiliate the Ities.
17:00 take CBX into Essex, to get at least one landmark this weekend.
18:10 Return, resolve to check tyre pressures next time.

At least I was home earlier than expected.

The joys were manifold on the run to Billericay and back. It really is
nice to ride. Stopping still has to be applied for by post, of course.

Problem is was down to numpty owner not hooking old bike up to
Optimate over the winter. Perhaps I should get a second one, so I can
leave the two old Honda's plugged in while the new one does all the
    work.

Anyhoo, saw a CBX in the OC mag, where bloke had dropped in a
Triumph[1] front-end, with the fitting of taper head races with the
external diameter of a CBX and internal diameter to fit the Triumph's
    steering stem.

What a gloriously simple solution. I shall make further enquiries.

[1] Hinckley, not Meriden, or earlier.
