Well that was unexpected, and not nearly as entertaining as the penultimate
    round.

  2. It was a little "yawn" after all the hype and build up they gave it.

    Yep.
Rossi bottled it in the end and gave it to the Yank.

  5. I think that sums up how I feel too. I almost felt bored watching the
    last couple of laps.

I had 6-1 on Hayden. Spiced it up nicely.

Last time I looked it was relatively mild.

I'm not sure how the conspiracy theorists are going to explain it,
    though.

IIRC, F1 used to have a system back in the 80s and early 90s where they took
your best 11 (out of 14/15 I think) results - so it allowed for a few
breakdowns/crashes etc. Personally, made it much more entertaining and meant
the championship normally went down to the wire.

Depends on the points for places arrangements. One point for a win,
and sfa for losers would have given a different result.

Then again, the rules were known at the outset.

I had this discussion following the last race. "If you want to finish first,
first you got to finish" and all that shite, but it's right. It seems odd
though, that someone with only 2 race wins (or was it 3?) all season wins
    the championship.

That seems like a pretty good system. Less playing it safe for the
points = more excitement for us.

You've got to admire Bayliss's race though. Well maybe you don't, but I do.
