    You should be less argumentative.

True. Just thought you guys would be interested in the subject. Almost
    guaranteed feedback.

    Used
    50mm 1.4
    135mm 2.8 SF
    and kit 18-55(?)

I think I had 1SO 100 all the way - and mostly had a polariser on.
Occasionally I had to change lenses quickly and didn't have time to
    swap the polariser over.

check the cap was removed. There didn't appear to be any evidence of
lens cap artifacts to my eye... but I do miss things sometimes.

  6. Lazy, eh Mick? Try these two simple ideas: 1) Junk your copy of
Photoshop completely 2) Get it right in the lens. Go up a few threads
to Dale's post about WSB @ PI to see what I mean.

Perhaps I should have said 'opinions'. Then again.. that can be asking
    for trouble :D

And it's called 'B-U-S-Y'. Sadly, the day job doesn't really allow for
anywhere near as much time as I want for my photography. The study,
the practising... having a bit of a life.

I don't knock back advice from the more experienced if they're willing
to offer it - and I obviously don't have any issues with the asking.
I'm going to take advantage of every resource available to me to get
    somewhere with this gig.

I did happen to see the post Dale put. Was partly why I decided to
    post here. I

As mentioned before => Learning PS - so practising as much as
possible. Therefore more PP than usual. I think I got it right 'in the
lens' reasonably well. Unless you'd like to elaborate where you see
some room for improvement - in which case I'd appreciate the feedback.
Have put $$$ into PS, so m not going to throw $$$ away when it can be
a great tool to assist my work.

    Thanks champ.
    Have a good one.

Fucked if it read that way to me. Andrew suggested ditching photoshop.
Mick said yeah OK, but I'm learning how to use the thing so that's
what I'm practising at the moment. That'd be a bit like telling him to
stop taking colour photos because real photographers only use black
and white(1) or someone asking for assistance to modify their ducati
and biggarse telling him to sell it and buy a honda - give him tips
within the parameters he's asking about (unless it's not possible to
achieve what he wants within those parameters of course).

    JL
    (1) and yes I've actually had someone say that to me, not that I'm
    even a semi competent amateur

You still making money from teaching people how to use Photoshop Smee?

If someone says you are lazy - weather joking or not... I think I
might be expected to lose a little of my ability to 'lighten up'. I'm
    simply stating my case, ok?

I work in education... *laughs*. From the sounds of it you haven't
come across the idea of different learning styles or multiple
    intelligences.

The basic principles suggest that people have an ideal mode of
learning - or preference. Some people learn better through visual
means, some by kinesthetic (doing), some are social learners... Very
few people actually learn well just through auditory presentation.
There's research to say what proportions of information are retained
    when information is presented 1. verbally; 2. verbally and visually;
    3. veryb, vis and demo/workshopped. It's very underwhelming to realise
that the main teaching mode of speaking to students is the absolute
least effective way to get the information out.

    Learn something champ?

    Have a good one!

<snigger> you're wasting your time trying to teach GB about optimal
methods of education- in his job they don't have the slightest
comprehension of effective learning techniques - although some of them
give you documentation on it and then proceed to ignore it.

    JL
(well not in my experience anyways, maybe GB is different)

    Thanks for enlightening me.

I guess now I know - *for sure* - I can unclench and relax. Perhaps
even revel it. That sounds nice.

I think I might like being lazy after all...

I'll give it a go and see how it takes.
