    I have spoken with someone who mentioned that they had a nasty surprise
    when they FORGOT to turn the ABS off before hitting the dirt.

    And the relevance of the braking systems in a race car on a race track
    to a discussion of road bikes on the road is...???

    It is certainly a strange comparison to draw, especially considering
    considering your earlier statement "My car has ABS too, and I love it"
    which appears to be a stark contradiction of your comments regarding
    vehicle control above.

  4. An astute observation... after all, neither embedded computing nor
    digital DAQ have advanced in what, the last quarter of a century or
    so? Meaning anti-lock braking systems available today are no better
    than what you could get in 1988.
