I dunno whether it is just the reporting that is fucked, or the
pollies' concept of motorcycles, or both?

The article beings with speed limiters, then basically talks about
    mini-motos from there on.

**** knows what they are on about?

  2. And another bit:

    http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200607/cmselect/cmtran/264/264.pdf

"...that it is hard to see why anyone except the police, military and
emergency services, needs a powerful, heavy machine, as did the Royal
Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) who could not see any
justification for producing powerful vehicles that can reach speeds of
more than twice the maximum speed limit and suggested that motorcycles
    be limited to 125cc."

I think I might just go and wrap myself in cotton wool and set myself
    on fire right now . . .

Sure why not, lets limit B doubles and road trains over here to 1 Litre
that can only run on corn oil while were at it.

and air planes can only have 1 wing on the right side..

I haven't looked but I don't believe any thing I read from mid March until
    after April 1st.
If it seems unbelievable it probably is!

    Seems simple to me.

The world probably doesn't need that many motorcycles capable of much
    over 240 kph.

It also probably doesn't need dopey parents buying kids wee motorcycles
and telling the kids to go and pay amongst the buses.

    Oh, and pollution is bad.

    regards,

Don't forget to soak the cotton wool in metho first, helps with the firing.

I've never tried to set fire to nitric acid. Metho will keep you cool during
the initial burn phase. I accidentally set fire to a box of steel wool once
while using a grinder. The 0000 stuff burns really well.

Steel wool plus battery equals a convenient portable waterproof firestarter.
